STARPLAST offers unique expertise in thermoforming, machining and assembly of plastic parts. Its know-how in the manufacturing of transparent technical parts for aviation, the automobile industry and ski lifts is internationally recognised.

Equipped with high performance production tools, Starplast’s technician teams are able to scrupulously abide by your specification requirements for transparent and opaque thermoforming according to your design. We master all the processes from design to delivery.

Starplast’s vast experience enables it to transform all thermoplastics and highlight their remarkable qualities:

  • Mechanical quality and numerous possibilities of colour and aspect of ABS
  • Low cost and transformation facility of polystyrene

The integration of numerical controls (CAO, FAO, numerically controlled machining 3 and 5 axis) enables Starplast to control the manufacture of parts from start to finish, be they wrought Aluminium, Aluminium smelter, epoxide resin or machinable panels.

Starplast joined the « Technopole ESTER » on March 23rd.The specialists in technical part thermoforming add a new 8000m2 building especially adapted to its activities.

What are the targets for this new site?
« The layout of our premises was hindering growth. We were cramped, divided over 4 different sites and yet manufacturing larger and larger parts. This new building is indispensable for the perenity and development of the company. It will enable us to organise the different areas (production, storage and commercial) and the production flow. To sum up, our industrial activity will be as honourable as that of our contractors.»

What real difference will it make to your client portfolio?
« We work mainly for the aviation and automobile industry but we also work for other fields such as ski lifts, vehicle signalling and urban furniture. Our clients have particularly high requirements and quality standards making our new building, which has enabled us work for airbus, absolutely essential.»

How do you position yourself in the current recession?
« After many years of high growth rate we are now experiencing the economic slump in several areas. Luckily our activity is extremely diversified and we have our own product range. Four years ago we made this property transaction to help settle the company and today we are feeling the benefit. This new site is definitely an advantage and will help us to fight back and reorganise our activity.»
